Clifton’s love of dance and music has been evident from a very young age. His countless involvements and wide range of experiences with both singing and dancing have given Clifton a unique understanding of musicality, rhythm, and fluidity.

Coming from a Dancehall and Hip Hop background, Clifton quickly decided to expand his genres of dance after visiting a local Latin club in Toronto. Always up for a new challenge, Clifton studied intensely under the supervision of highly respected and world renowned Salsa instructors. Quickly building on his training and skills, Clifton joined a professional Salsa team, which gave him the experience and opportunity to share the stage with other professionals. In an undying effort to sharpen his skills, Clifton went on to train in other genres like Jazz and Contemporary dance. He began traveling and performing at many prestigious Salsa events across North America and Europe.

In 2009, Clifton partnered up with long time friend and fellow dance advocate Patrick Danquah as founders of Cadence Dance Academy.

Clifton’s work ethic, positive mindset, and vibrant smile make him a perfect fit for the stage. His expertise in Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, Hip Hop, & Reggae make him a well verse and highly knowledgeable instructor. Presently, Clifton continues to instruct, perform, and train in hopes to reach his next pinnacle in dance. As a trained professional he vows to continue spreading his skills, knowledge, experiences and joy of dance to others as it was done for him.

Patrick's passion for dance is obvious in and out of the studio. A seasoned dancer, Patrick has been trained in various styles of dance including Salsa, Hip Hop, Jazz and Afro-Cuban. His diverse dance background has assisted him in incorporating all styles of dance into his own unique style. Professional certification as a Personal Trainer coupled with a Bachelor of Arts degree have enabled Patrick to understand how the body functions, and how to teach others effectively about the muscle movements that dance requires.

Patrick has been training under the influences of expert instructors who have helped him become a powerfully expressive dancer. He has performed and taught at many prestigious events both locally and abroad. His diverse experience, outgoing personality, and ease of performance make for popular classes all over the Greater Toronto Area. Patrick’s experience and love of dance motivate him to continue sharing his passion with others through teaching and performing.
